Hello,
is there a problem with SD2 bot, porting it to github? It's been outdated for a couple of days. |

Quick question:
How can i merge the latest svn changes into my git repo? I got rev 157x and i want to merge them with 1586 or newer. |

No easy way. You can use git-svn, but you can't expect to "simply pull" from the scriptdev2/scriptdev2 repo after it get's updated.
And yes, it was on ... sort of maintenance. Should be fine by now. Another (rather short) downtime is expected in March (don't know exactly when, but it'll be like 1-3 days, so don't panic). |

I'd like to use GIT too. It's so easy switching branches and developing on different trees at once. SVN makes that complicated imho.

Stumbled upon this one at planet.debian.net last night. Maybe the forces of git and svn could be combined?
http://blog.venthur.de/2010/05/05/gi...s-svn-support/ To me it sounds as if a dev could push with svn (in case he/she/it does not use git) to a git repo and it is also possible to checkout from a git repo with subversion. Regards Skirnir |
